President of China Guangxi
International Youth Exchange Institute, Mr Deng, the representative of four
ASEAN country, teachers, and fellow friends. I am honored to speak to you on
this important day.
Firstly, I would like to thank the China,
and The China Guangxi International Youth Exchange Institute, as the host of
this program because giving me such a chance to join this program. And also for
their hard work and dedication on our behalf.
Since the establishment of
diplomatic relations with China from year 1974, it has been 35 years already. Since then, bilateral relations
have become increasingly close. At year 1990, Malaysia abolished restrictions
on its citizens to visit China, the exchange of personnel between the two
countries continues to grow, the cooperation relations have entered a stage of
comprehensive development. Frequent exchanges between the high-level of two
countries were deepening the friendship and cooperation in various fields. Particularly in the economic
front, China is Malaysia's 4th largest trading partner. Not long ago, Malaysia current
Prime Minister Najib come to visit China, this make the relationship between
the two countries go to a deeper level, this is something to be proud and happy
about it.
Dear
friends, we have gathered here today to celebrate our graduation. It is
momentous event, because it marks the ending of the whole program of this two
months. Time flew like meteors as, two months elapsed blink of an eye.
Personally I am sure that without that precious experience my life would be
something completely different. Robert Gallagher said that change is inevitable
- except from a vending machine. Look back the journey on this two months, we just see how far for these
young ladies and gentlemen have progressed. It has been an honor and a privilege
being part of their journey and one which has been imbued with wonderful
memories. We share each others, help each others, and also learn from each
others, even though we are from different country and culture. No feast could last forever, no matter how reluctant we are,
we have to say goodbye.
There is non-pen can describe my
feeling today, is full with a lot of complex feelings, there is happiness, but
also dismay. Silence means everything, these
wonderful memories and feelings will last forever in our hearts. I wish you good health, thank you!
